 Life is fleeting, we do what we can to make time for our loved ones. I've found myself at the epicenter of countless morning routines over the years, attempting to provide a sort of resonance, being a source of familiarity in the room for those who stop in ritualistically. A home away from home in public spaces becomes what it is because of the people, the repetition, the unspoken commitment to showing up. We become fixtures in each other's routines.. observing the fluid intricacies of my regulars grants me a particular insight into each of their worlds. Circumstantially, I know each of them in ways no one else does, this framing can be reversed. They all know me uniquely. The act of showing up, being present, even just a few minutes a day is a love language. I'm thankful to know and find comfort in this experience with them.

They remind me we are all soft, this life is precious, we are human, and we need one another.
