 Life is fleeting, we do what we can to make time for our loved ones. I've found myself at the epicenter of countless morning routines over the years, attempting to provide a sort of resonance, being a source of familiarity in the room for those who stop in ritualistically. A home away from home in public spaces becomes what it is because of the people, the repetition, the unspoken commitment to showing up. We become fixtures in each other's routines.. observing the fluid intricacies of my regulars grants me a particular insight into each of their worlds. Circumstantially, I know them all in ways no one else does; this truth can be reversed, they each know me uniquely. The act of showing up and being present regularly without any real obligatory ties is a love language of its own. I'm thankful to know and find comfort in this shared experience.

I am reminded by these interactions daily that we are human, and we need one another.
